Details:
Celebrate America250 this summer with a variety of engaging activities across the Baton Rouge Metro area, designed to honor the 250th anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence. Bring your phone or camera for a memorable photo opportunity with Statue of Liberty and Uncle Sam props. At the Children's Room, enjoy the "Mystery Sticker Poster" event where you can pick up a sticker sheet to fill in a color-coded poster and reveal a mystery image. Participate in themed activities at various libraries, including assembling a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle titled "1776-2026," joining a soapmaking workshop with free samples, and exploring a display of the Declaration of Independence with pocket Constitutions available from June 1 to August 31.
Additionally, families can take part in Community Discussions at the Louisiana Statewide Family Engagement Center, and younger attendees can enjoy "Grab & Geaux" craft bags and a Teen Grab & Geaux Polymer Clay event starting June 22. Don't miss the Linder Challenge II: Linder 2041, where you can sign your name on the Declaration, create Flag Pins for Independence Day, and contribute to the America 250 puzzle. Join us for a summer filled with patriotism, creativity, and education!
