Tuolumne County Arts is dedicated to enriching the lives of residents and visitors alike through the power of the arts. Our roots trace back to 1970, when visionary Carl Anton Wirth brought together artists in Twain Harte, sparking the idea for a collaborative arts organization. Established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit in 1978 and initially known as the Central Sierra Arts Council, we work closely with the California Arts Council. This partnership designates us as the county's Public Arts Agency, aiming to enhance the local economy and community cohesion through vibrant artistic engagement.
