Details:
Experience a summer of creativity and exploration at Camp BW! Featuring two exciting programs, Camp BW Kids: Handmade Heritage and Camp BW Junior: History Hoppers, there's something for everyone.
Camp BW Kids: Handmade Heritage invites children ages 8–12 (2nd–6th grade) to dive into the world of folk art, where they'll create vibrant tin foil Mexican folk art, craft layered paper tulips from Poland, and design batik cloth landscapes. Young artists will explore the math behind tessellating quilt designs with guidance from Learning Lamp To Go, culminating in a field trip to the Heritage Discovery Center to gain inspiration from historical and cultural folk art.
Meanwhile, Camp BW Junior: History Hoppers is designed for curious kids ages 5–7 (Kindergarten and 1st grade). Participants will celebrate the USA's 250th birthday with red, white, and blue projects, play old-fashioned games, and sample historic treats. They'll blast off into space by designing new planets and creating dioramas for their alien residents, while also learning about America’s National Parks and earning trail names through outdoor adventures.
Both camps blend art, history, and hands-on experimentation, making for unforgettable summer experiences. Visit our website to register or apply for scholarships—don’t miss out, as registration closes on July 13th for Handmade Heritage and July 14th for History Hoppers!
