Camp BW Kids: Handmade Heritage

Experience an unforgettable summer of creativity and discovery at Camp BW, featuring two exciting programs tailored for young artists and explorers!

**Camp BW Kids: Handmade Heritage** invites kids ages 8–12 (2nd–6th grade) to celebrate the beauty and history of folk art. Throughout the week, campers will engage in hands-on activities, creating vibrant tin foil Mexican folk art, crafting Polish layered paper tulips, and designing batik cloth landscapes. They'll also explore the math behind tessellating quilt designs with Learning Lamp To Go, culminating in a trip to the Heritage Discovery Center to see folk art come to life. This camp blends art with cultural storytelling, perfect for those eager to create and connect.

**Camp BW Junior: History Hoppers** is designed for curious kids ages 5–7 (Kindergarten and 1st grade) and offers a whimsical journey through time. Campers will commemorate the USA’s 250th birthday with red, white, and blue crafts and old-timey games, while also sampling historic treats. Their adventure continues with space exploration, where they can design a new planet and craft a diorama for their alien resident. Campers will also discover nature's wonders as they earn trail names and create art from natural materials during hikes.
