Wines of the Santa Cruz Mountains is an organization dedicated to promoting the unique winegrowing region nestled in the mountains between the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. This region, known for its mountain terrain, marine influence, varied micro-climates, and distinctive soils, produces high-quality wines. The organization represents over 70 wineries, many of them family-run, that focus on producing elegant and distinctive wines, particularly Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon. They aim to highlight the unique aspects of their wines and the region, which was the first American Viticulture Area (AVA) defined by mountainous terrain. The organization also supports a wine club offering members a curated selection of wines from various producers across the region.
