The Bay Sarasota

1055 Boulevard of the Arts, Sarasota, FL 34236, USA

The Bay Sarasota is a signature public park located along Sarasota Bay, designed to be "One Park for All." It is an open, accessible, free, and welcoming space for the entire community, aiming to serve present and future generations. The park conserves, preserves, restores, and transforms 53 acres of city-owned land, converting a former parking lot into a vibrant blue and green oasis. This sustainable bayfront gathering place offers a wide range of park uses, free programs, and events. The first phase of the park opened in October 2022, with subsequent phases under development. The Bay Park Conservancy (BPC), a 501c3 non-profit organization, is responsible for the park's design, development, operation, and programming through a long-term partnership with the City of Sarasota. The park's mission emphasizes community partnerships, environmental sustainability, and providing a gathering place for diverse activities, from nature walks and fitness classes to concerts and cultural events. The vision includes enhancing the bayfront's cultural and economic legacy while ensuring public access and celebrating natural heritage.
