The Terrebonne Parish Library System aims to provide comprehensive library resources and services to all segments of the parish's diverse population, enhancing the quality of life through informational and recreational pursuits. The library offers a wide variety of current materials in multiple formats for all ages, timely and accurate information, technologically advanced resources, and programs to foster a love of reading in children. It upholds the public's freedom of access to knowledge and serves as a community center offering support, education, and recreation. The Main Library in Houma features a computer lab, distance education classroom, public computers, a drive-through window, an amphitheater, arts and crafts room, story time room, group study rooms, and a large meeting room. It also houses an extensive genealogy collection and a Creative Lab with 3D printers and other crafting tools.
