The Suffolk County Farm and Education Center, managed by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County (CCE Suffolk), is a working farm dedicated to providing hands-on, research-based learning experiences for all residents. Its mission is to connect people with agricultural heritage and foster a sustainable future through education in agriculture, animal sciences, history, STEM, healthy living, and life skills. The center offers year-round educational programs for children from pre-K to 12th grade, summer day camps, and hosts numerous special events for families. It serves as a vital resource for understanding agriculture, nutrition, and environmental issues, with a vision to promote environmental consciousness and horticultural experience. CCE Suffolk itself is a non-profit education agency established in 1917, affiliated with Cornell University, and focused on strengthening families and communities, enhancing the environment, and fostering economic development through programs in 4-H Youth Development, Community Education, Agriculture, and Marine sciences.
