Somers Library

The Somers Library is a municipal public library serving the residents of Somers, New York, and surrounding Westchester County communities. Its mission is to provide free informational, recreational, and cultural resources and programs in a welcoming atmosphere conducive to learning and enjoyment. The library offers a wide range of services, including access to books, databases, the internet, and programs for all ages. It is a member of the Westchester Library System and is supported by a Friends group and the Somers Library Foundation, which raises funds for projects that enhance the library's offerings. The library's collection aims to present a diversity of ideas and information, and no person is denied service based on personal characteristics. The current building, located in Reis Park, opened in 1982.
