Science Center of Iowa

The Science Center of Iowa (SCI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging and inspiring Iowans through lifelong science learning. Located in downtown Des Moines, SCI offers hands-on exhibits, special-format theaters, and unique programming for children, families, school groups, and individuals. Their mission is to be a quality community resource for informal science education, aiming to spark curiosity and foster a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). SCI also provides statewide educational outreach and supports community gatherings and partnerships.
