Since its inception in 1990, Safe Sports Network has strived to promote a safer sports environment for young athletes through injury prevention, treatment, education, sporting event coverage, and our afternoon walk-in clinic. Safe Sports serves the student athletes of the Greater Manchester, Salem, and Nashua NH areas with 12 athletic trainers who provide service under our medical director, James Vailas, MD. Services include athletic training outreach to nine local high schools, injury drop-in clinics, annual physicals and coach and community education. Through these services Safe Sports is able to continuously promote and provide a sports environment which is safer for the young athletes of southern New Hampshire.
