The Reston Regional Library is a vital community hub and one of the busiest branches within the Fairfax County Public Library system. It serves a significant population, circulating over 500,000 items annually from its collection of approximately 145,000 items. The library offers a wide array of resources and services, including a dedicated children's wing with materials for all ages, extensive newspaper and magazine collections (both print and digital), and resources for new Americans to learn English and prepare for citizenship. It hosts over 10 English classes weekly at no cost and maintains a comprehensive archive on the history of Reston, including indexed local newspapers. For visually impaired patrons, large print books and specialized equipment are available. The library also provides meeting rooms for community groups and features a Memory Depot for digitizing old media. It is actively involved in community enrichment through various programs and events, supported by the Friends of the Reston Regional Library, a non-profit organization that raises funds to enhance library services, technology, collections, and programming.
