Reins of Life, Inc.

Reins of Life, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities through equine-assisted therapy. Founded in 1978, the organization operates two facilities in Indiana, one in South Bend and another in Michigan City, serving individuals from an extensive radius across Indiana and Michigan. Their core services include therapeutic horseback riding, interactive vaulting, and equine-facilitated psychotherapy. Beyond direct therapy, Reins of Life also offers programs such as the ROL Veterans Team, a K-12 school program with virtual field trips, a "Nuzzles & Snuggles" program for seniors and group homes, therapeutic carriage driving, and equine encounters. The organization aims to promote the mental, physical, emotional, and social growth of its participants, while also educating the community about the benefits of equine therapy and the abilities of individuals with disabilities. They are a PATH Premier accredited facility, emphasizing inclusion, education, and independence.
