The Palomar College Planetarium is a state-of-the-art facility, one of the largest in California, featuring a 50-foot dome and 138 seats. It offers engaging shows about the universe, utilizing the Digistar 7 system for immersive astronomical journeys. Open to the public on Friday nights, it provides educational experiences for students and the general public curious about space and astronomy. The planetarium also hosts field trips for schools, offering virtual tours of the solar system and a Q&A session with professional astronomers. Additionally, it is supported by the non-profit Friends of the Planetarium, which promotes educational outreach and community engagement in astronomy.
