The Mandarin Museum & Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history, culture, and natural resources of the Mandarin area and the lower St. Johns River basin. It achieves this through research, collection, preservation, interpretation, and exhibition of historical documents, objects, and oral histories. The museum offers educational programs, special events, publications, and archives for adults and children. Exhibits feature topics such as the Maple Leaf shipwreck, Harriet Beecher Stowe, and the history of African Americans in the area. The museum operates in partnership with the City of Jacksonville and is located within the Walter Jones Historical Park, which includes several historic buildings.
