In 1996, Paul G. Allen secured the option to purchase the Seattle Seahawks and championed public support for a premier stadium. This vision materialized in 2002 when the Seahawks debuted at Seahawks Stadium, later renamed Qwest Field in 2004, then CenturyLink Field in 2011, and finally Lumen Field in 2020. The versatile Lumen Field complex encompasses the stadium, an event center, and WAMU Theater, hosting countless events annually, from NFL games to concerts. Excitingly, it was selected as a host venue for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
