Luma Knotty will bring you on an illuminated musical journey, serving an original blend of guitar-driven funk, rock, and reggae. Fusing his formal music training with a background in blues, funk rock, and reggae, Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Ryan Patrick’s unwavering authenticity, is the drive behind his award-winning band. Founded in 2017, the band is continuously evolving, while honoring their diverse musical roots. Luis on Keys rounds out the band's songwriting team incorporating various Latin styles, with his formal training in gospel and jazz, helping to shape the band's eclectic sound. Luma Knotty has won the 2019 and 2024 Wisconsin Area Music Awards in the World category and the 2025 Bay Area Music Award in the Latin/World/Reggae/Ska category. The band released their third album in September of 2024 -'Favorite Dream', which is available anywhere you can find music. Luma Knotty has opened for such bands as: Mihali (Twiddle) at Vivarium in Milwaukee, EN Young (Tribal Seeds), H.R. of Bad Brains at The Annex in Madison, Boulevards, Sophistafunk, and the Burkina Faso band Baba Commandant & The Mandingo Band at Turner Hall Ballroom. They play such events as: Mile of Music, Fox Cities Experience, Oshkosh Main Street Music Fest, All Bands on Deck Music Festival, Levitt Amp Stevens Point Music Series, Vibin' in the Pines Music Festival, World Naked Bike Ride Milwaukee, and Bastille Days in Milwaukee, as well as featured on 105.7 WAPL, WCZR Code Zero Radio, Into the Music, and WFRV Channel 5.
