The St. Matthews Library has proudly served its community for over 50 years, originally housed in temporary locations before settling on Church Way in 1958, thanks to a generous land donation in memory of First Lieutenant Sidney Willard Eline Sr. To accommodate growing demand, the library underwent two expansions, culminating in a major transformation in 2019. The 19,000-square-foot facility now boasts over 70,000 books, versatile meeting spaces, a teen area, outdoor children's space, and modern technology, all designed for accessibility and community engagement.
