The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization of women and men encouraging the informed and active participation of citizens in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy. Founded in 1954, the League of Women Voters of Kent has a rich tradition of providing voter registration and voter education that is open to the public and tackles local, state and national issues. In partnership with The Record-Courier, Kent LWV has compiled the popular Voter's Guide which the newspaper has published continuously for more than 50 years before elections.
