The John C. Hart Memorial Library, serving Yorktown since 1920, is dedicated to providing intellectual, personal, and cultural enrichment for all ages and backgrounds within the community. It offers a diverse collection of physical and digital resources, including books, audiobooks, magazines, CDs, and DVDs, alongside downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, and music. The library actively embraces technological advancements to enhance its traditional offerings and meet evolving community needs. As a member of the Westchester Library System, it provides patrons access to a wider range of materials and collaborates with local institutions and organizations. Services include access to public computers, free internet, printing, copying, scanning, reference and research assistance, and technical support for library equipment and software. The library also hosts various programs and activities for adults, teens, and children, fostering educational, recreational, and cultural engagement. Special services include a makerspace, museum passes, notary services, passport services, room rentals, a seed library, and tech lending.
