The Helen Keller Public Library, established in 1893, is the oldest chartered library in Alabama with continuous service. Located at 511 North Main Street in Tuscumbia, Alabama, it serves a population of 13,381 residents. The library houses a collection of 26,677 volumes and had 22,726 annual circulation transactions. It utilizes the Atriuum automation system, contracted in 2021. The library was founded in honor of Helen Keller by the Helen Keller Library and Literary Association.
