Fort Meade is a United States Army installation located in Maryland, serving as the nation's premier platform for intelligence, information, and cyber operations. It is home to numerous government agencies and organizations, including the National Security Agency (NSA) and U.S. Cyber Command. The installation supports all five branches of the military and hosts a wide array of units and agencies focused on intelligence, cybersecurity, and information warfare. Beyond its core national security mission, Fort Meade also provides comprehensive Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) programs for soldiers, families, and civilian personnel. These MWR services encompass fitness centers, swimming facilities, libraries, outdoor recreation, arts and entertainment, and various community events designed to enhance quality of life and support readiness. The installation also plays a role in historical preservation and serves as a storage facility for the Library of Congress.
