EdVenture Children's Museum is a nonprofit institution dedicated to inspiring children to experience the joy of learning through interactive exhibits and programs. Located in Columbia, South Carolina, it is one of the largest children's museums in the Southeast United States. The museum features over 350 hands-on exhibits across nine immersive galleries, blending play with educational themes in science, arts, and daily life skills. A signature attraction is Eddie, a 40-foot-tall climbable statue of a boy, allowing visitors to explore the human body. EdVenture offers a variety of experiences, including role-playing in simulated environments like a grocery store or fire truck, creative building in maker spaces, culinary exploration in a cooking lab, and aviation simulations. The museum also provides interdisciplinary, curriculum-based programs for schools and homeschool groups, as well as early childhood programs, summer camps, and other special events. EdVenture emphasizes inclusion, providing a safe and welcoming environment that supports diversity and equality, aiming to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity in children aged 0-10 and their families.
