The Columbia Association (CA) is a nonprofit community services organization dedicated to enhancing the health, wellness, and quality of life for residents of Columbia, Maryland. Founded in 1967, CA manages and maintains over 60 community facilities, including fitness clubs, pools, tennis clubs, golf courses, an ice rink, and an art center. It also preserves nearly 3,600 acres of open space, lakes, parks, and 95 miles of pathways. CA offers a wide range of programs and services for all ages, such as health and fitness classes, arts and cultural events, childcare, camps, multicultural programs, and volunteer opportunities. The organization's mission is to engage its diverse community, cultivate a unique sense of place, and enhance quality of life, striving for inclusivity and accessibility in all its offerings. CA is funded primarily through an annual membership charge levied on property owners.
