The Coatesville Area Public Library (CAPL) is dedicated to promoting literacy, building community, and enriching lives by providing information, programming, and technology to the residents of the Coatesville area. Its mission is to foster an informed and engaged community by connecting people with information, ideas, and each other. The library welcomes all individuals, regardless of background, offering access to a wide range of resources for personal growth, learning, and exploration. CAPL provides materials and services to meet the educational, informational, cultural, and recreational needs of its service area, which includes the municipalities of Caln, the City of Coatesville, East Fallowfield, Modena, South Coatesville, Valley, and West Bradford. The library also offers room rentals and museum/garden passes for community use. With a history dating back to 1876, CAPL has evolved into an adapting community center that upholds the spirit of neighborly sharing and resource access.
