The Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors of Caddo Parish by providing high-quality facilities, diverse recreational programs, and leisure activities. Their mission is to offer clean, safe park environments and a variety of programs that cater to the community's wants and needs, ensuring positive experiences for all. The department manages 14 park sites encompassing 1100 acres, featuring amenities such as playgrounds, athletic fields, basketball and tennis courts, hiking and biking trails, fishing piers, a disc golf course, and a nature center with live exhibits. They offer programming across four pillars: Recreation/Health & Wellness, Athletics, Nature, and Education. Recently, Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation achieved national accreditation status through CAPRA and NRPA, signifying a high standard of operation and management.
