The Alameda County Agricultural Fair Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that produces the annual Alameda County Fair and manages the 267-acre Fairgrounds property in Pleasanton, California. Operating as an agent of the County of Alameda, the Fairgrounds serves as a year-round event center, hosting over 300 commercial and private events annually, and also operates the Fairpark RV Campground and Pleasanton Off-Track Betting. The Association is entirely self-supporting, receiving no tax revenue. The Alameda County Fair, established in 1912, celebrates the community's heritage and diversity and is recognized as one of the top 50 fairs in the U.S. The Fairgrounds also features the historic Pleasanton Fairgrounds Racetrack, built in 1858, making it the oldest one-mile horse racing track in the United States. Additionally, the Fair Foundation focuses on promoting agricultural heritage and youth engagement through educational programs and facilities, such as 'The Farm,' a planned working farm and education center.
