About Andy Babb & Lara Elle:
Andy and Lara are singer-songwriters, best friends, lovers, and explorers. Their music is an extension of that love - played in a classic yet modern, heartfelt acoustic folk style. Hailing from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, their musical scent is one of wildflowers, fresh mountain air and sunshine.
As a couple for over a decade, Andy and Lara have learned to blend their love for one another into their love of music. Their voices intertwine like the fingers on their hands, and their songwriting flows as naturally as the river of love between them. Audience members have remarked on how much better they feel after attending their shows - describing it as “like church, without all the dogma” and “singing these songs with you is like singing mantras in prayer.”
The two met while dancing at Rhythm Sanctuary in Denver, an ecstatic dance community, in February of 2014. Andy was then writing songs and performing with his group Andy Babb and the Big Beautiful Band, as well as playing bass with The Copper Children. As the two fell more deeply in love, Lara - a singer and actress with a background in musical theater and choir - soon joined the Big Beautiful Band, her stage presence a natural fit for the group’s fun, funky energy.
Their collaborative acoustic project, Dearheart, took a refined folk direction, pairing minimalist instrumentation with rich vocal harmonies and lyrical depth. The record was born from an extraordinary chapter: Andy took Lara to Thailand for the Yi Peng lantern festival, where he proposed marriage. They seized the opportunity to record at Vintage Studios in Bangkok, returning home with both a ring and a beautifully crafted album. Released worldwide on December 11th, Dearheart blends beloved songs from Andy’s long-running repertoire with new songs brought to life by Lara - a collection that leaves listeners with a calm, healthy, and loving feeling.
All of Your Colors, the duo’s first full band album, arrives July 29th. A bold new chapter for Andy and Lara, expanding their sound beyond the stripped back acoustic into something richer, fuller, and just as deeply felt.
