Please join us in the William Hall Library Auditorium for an evening of violin music presented by the students of Becca Kasdan. The program will feature works by Bohm, Vitali, Mozart, and Prokofiev. Andrei Baumann will be the featured guest collaborative pianist. An informal Q and A will follow the performance.
Free and open to the public. Registration is not required, but those who register at least three days prior to the event will receive an email reminder.
Becca Kasdan is a Providence-based violinist who teaches at Brown University, New England Conservatory Expanded Education, and Project STEP in Boston, MA. The students performing tonight study with Becca in her private studio in Providence.
Andrei Baumann currently lives in Providence, RI and performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician with members of Community Music Works. Recent collaborations have included programs with the Newport, RI dance group Island Moving Company. Mr. Baumann is currently the Music Director at First Church in Jamaica Plain, MA, as well as Director of Instrumental Music at Portsmouth Abbey School in Portsmouth, MA and Adjunct Piano Faculty at University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth, MA.
