Details:
This training is a one-hour presentation delivered by public health and mental health professionals. Participants review the impact of the opioid epidemic as well as relevant state policies and data pertaining to naloxone and harm reduction. Participants will learn how to recognize signs and symptoms of opioid use disorder and opioid overdose as well as how to respond to suspected opioid overdoses and administer naloxone.
Participants will receive a free Narcan kit.
This program is administered by the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School - Division of Addiction Psychiatry.
