Donating whole blood involves giving a pint, which is then separated into essential components like red cells, plasma, and platelets for local hospitals to use in transfusions for patients in need. We aim to attract around 200 donors daily to meet local demand. During this event, you can schedule appointments for either whole blood or double red cell donations. Upon arrival, you’ll check in and undergo a brief personal history and wellness exam to ensure eligibility. The entire process, including refreshments, typically lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, with the actual donation taking just 15-35 minutes.
