Details:
Could you map the invasive species on your property without leaving the couch?
Join us for a woodswalk led by consulting forester Andrew Morrison, at a Tree Farm in Guilford, VT. We will learn to identify invasive species growing on the property including: Bittersweet, Buckthorn, Japanese Barberry, Autumn Olive and others. Following this walk you will be able to use your knowledge of what habitats New England's invasive plants love best, to simplify mapping their presence on your property. Then you can use these maps to generate a more effective plan to protect and restore your property's forest habitats.
We'll practice on an aerial map of the landowners property but if you're interested- you can provide your address ahead of time and we'll work to get you an aerial map of your own property.
Registration Required.
