Details:
Join us on Friday, June 19, for Matte Black; a Juneteenth celebration benefit concert in created in collaboration with The Sightseers Collective raising funds for The Upper Darby Township Libraries and community-centered organizations.
From 3-4pm, attendees will have the opportunity to peruse the library space that will be housing vendors of all kinds as well as visual art installations. From 4pm onward, musical and spoken word performers will perform 20-minute sets followed by short intermissions for audience members to stretch their legs, browse the vendor tables, visit the photo booth, and move around as needed.
Our intention is not only to help fundraise for the spaces and initiatives that directly impact our community positively, but to spotlight the talented Black creatives of our areas while providing opportunities to build networks and connections between likeminded individuals, neighbors, and community members.
This is a NOTAFLOF[No One Turned Away For Lack of Funds] event, but a $10-$20 donation is encouraged.
Registration is recommended, but not required.
