Kay Wilkins, Worship Associate Justice Ministries Congregational Conversation at 12:15pm! To say we are facing a growing number of major changes is an understatement. I am not happy with all the changes taking place in my life, I tend to feel vulnerable and even cranky. Not knowing what is coming next can be unsettling. Change forces us to remove some of our armor. That is when change may inspire us to see things from a totally different perspective and actually bring about a sense of wonder. I came across the concept of ‘disruptive wonder’ and am fascinated by how it has helped me adjust to and reassess the impact of change. Rev. Charles Stephens was ordained as a Lutheran Minister in 1973. In 1981, he transferred into the Unitarian Universalist Ministry, motivated by the theological perspective of the UUA. He served UU congregations in Ellsworth, Castine, Eastport and Damariscotta, Maine, Concord, NH and Washington Crossing, NJ, retiring in 2012. Since retiring he has been an interim and has preached at a number of UU congregations.
