The Town of Castle Rock will host a free breakfast for bicyclists (and walkers, runners and carpoolers) from 7 to 9 a.m. at Festival Park, 300 Second St., in Downtown Castle Rock.
To participate, just bike, carpool, walk or rollerblade to work and stop by Festival Park on your way. Participants do not have to pre-register for a chance to win local prizes. Register at drcog.org/bike-to-work-day
Bike to Work Day is an annual event to raise awareness of alternative ways to get where you’re going. Sponsored by the Denver Regional Council of Governments, the goal is to promote bicycling as a commuting choice in hopes workers will try it and form a habit of riding to work.
