Details:
Join the Douglas Land Conservancy and the Town of Castle Rock for the "Animals Around the Rock: Raptors Over the Rock" event, part of a series dedicated to exploring our local wildlife. This family-friendly program features presentations by experts, including Nature's Educators, who will share insights into raptors—birds that inhabit our area. Participants will learn about raptor characteristics, habitats, and hunting methods, alongside other local wildlife such as reptiles, bats, and insects. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy a picnic in the amphitheater, which accommodates up to 250 with outdoor seating. While dogs are not permitted to avoid disturbing the birds, a suggested donation of $10 per person or $20 per family will support the Douglas Land Conservancy's efforts. For more details, visit CRgov.com/RockAnimals. Please note that in the event of rain, the program will be rescheduled to Tuesday, July 14.
