Details:
At a Death Cafe, we drink tea, eat cake, and talk about death. The aim is to increase our own awareness of death and to provide an opportunity to talk openly about a subject that is often challenging and taboo, helping people make the most of their (finite) lives. A Death Café is a group-directed discussion about death with no agenda, objectives, or themes. You are welcome to participate if you are currently in mourning, but this is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session. Facilitator info : Glenn Harper is an end-of-life caregiver by profession with an abiding interest and curiosity in philosophy, religion and the Great Mystery we all must face. He believes that, since aging and dying are inescapable, we should learn about, and lean into, these areas of inquiry so as to be equipped for the path ahead.
