Rita LiDu was born in Belém do Pará, the entrance of the Amazon Rainforest. Resident of the city of Rio de Janeiro for many years, this “Carioca” at heart was considered by the press as one of the new voices of the Brazilian Popular Music. Rita was chosen in her debut CD, released by Sony Music, to participate in the select “Brazilian Music Award” and to perform at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. On her new Project IPANEMA BOSSA SOUL PROJECT, she mixes the best of Brazil with her modern Bossa Nova, Jazz and Brazilian Pop.
