Details:
Please join us Sunday June 14th at 4 pm as we launch our first 2026 Music Under the Steeple concert at the Old West Church in Calais.
Our first concert features the mesmerizing father-daughter duo, Bob and Sarah Amos, for the second year in a row, after they fell in love with the extraordinary acoustics of the Old West Church. They present a highly entertaining and varied program, with original and traditional songs ranging from beautiful ballads to powerful, bluesy bluegrass-tinged numbers. Their album “Ever Onward” spent a full year on the national Folk charts, while their Vermont inspired song “The Hills That I Call Home” was the #1 song for a month on the Folk Alliance International chart. In addition to the acclaimed original and traditional material from their "Ever Onward" album, Bob and Sarah are including some selections from their brand new "Two Of Us" project, a collection of acoustic Beatles covers.
Coming up in July and August: Maria Schumann with the acapella group Farm Song on July 12, and The Lion Sisters (folk) on August 9 so mark your calendars.
There are no tickets, we just asked for a suggested donation if you can afford it. Proceeds go to the June Morse Music Fund. *Please note: the Old West Church is not wheelchair accessible at this time. For more info contact Susannah at susblachly@gmail.com.
*We are always seeking volunteers to help with parking and the door. Please email Susannah Blachly at susblachly@gmail.com if you would like to help out.
