**Clifton Institute Open-Access and Volunteer Days**
Join us at the Clifton Institute for exciting opportunities to explore and contribute to our field station! Friends of the Clifton Institute are invited to attend Open-access Days every Saturday from mid-January to mid-October. As a Friend, a minimum annual donation of $40 supports our education, restoration, and research programs. Visitors can navigate our trails, learn about the local ecosystem, and enjoy the natural surroundings, while being mindful to respect the plants and animals and adhering to our rules.
A trail map is available, though some trails are under construction and may be unmarked, so GPS and navigation skills are recommended. Facilities include port-a-potties, and parking is available at designated areas. Note that the farmhouse is closed to visitors, and all participants must follow the posted guidelines. Families are welcome, but children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs and other vehicles are not permitted on the trails. Remember to leave no trace by taking your litter with you.
Additionally, participate in our Volunteer Day for Native Habitat Restoration, led by Habitat Specialist Andrew Eberly. This free event is suitable for adults and children aged 12 and up with an adult. Tasks may include clearing invasive species, light trail maintenance, or planting native plants. Please register in advance and check for weather updates, and bring appropriate clothing, gloves, and small garden tools if desired.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Clifton Institute! Your involvement helps enhance our habitat and educational programs.
