($25-$35 tickets + DICE fees | 6:30pm & 8:30pm shows) When John Scofield and Pat Metheny walked into the Power Station in New York City in December 1993, they brought with them two of the most distinctive guitar voices in jazz: one gritty and blues-inflected, the other lyrical and luminous. Panned hard left and right in the stereo field, their guitars weave and spar across eleven tracks, with Steve Swallow on bass and Bill Stewart on drums holding it all together.
Released on Blue Note in April 1994, I Can See Your House from Here earned its place as an essential modern jazz record. It is a conversation between two friends and peers who push each other somewhere neither could have gone alone.
Thirty years on, we celebrate it. Matt Mitchell (guitar), Pete Smith (guitar), Arthur Vint (drums) & Adam Neely (bass) bring this beloved album back to life in an intimate live setting. Come hear it again, or for the first time.
