I Love Boosters follows Corvette (Keke Palmer), an aspiring designer living in a squatted Bay Area chicken restaurant. She leads 'The Velvet Gang,' a crew of professional shoplifters ('boosters') who steal high-fashion garments from a cutthroat, billionaire fashion mogul and sell them to the community at deeply discounted prices, which they dub 'fashion-forward philanthropy'.
