Bird Library 4th Floor Display: America 250: The Revolutionary Era

Bird Library is currently showcasing two engaging displays: "America 250: The Revolutionary Era" and "Media: Audio." The "America 250: The Revolutionary Era" display celebrates the nation's bisesquicentennial by featuring cover art from books focused on pivotal figures and events from the American fight for independence from Great Britain. This exhibit includes illustrations, text panels, and supplemental materials, and is located on the 4th floor of Bird Library, remaining accessible through the fall 2026 semester. Concurrently, the "Media: Audio" exhibit, curated by Stephen Singer and Abigail Traska, is part of a three-part series exploring various media forms. This section highlights the evolution of audio-related media, encompassing diverse formats such as tape, disc, roll, wire, cylinder, and cartridge, illustrating the advancements in technology that enable the preservation and distribution of sound.
