This Month's DJ: WILD TIDE
WILD TIDE's Ecstatic Dance sets are high fidelity, sensual, playful and primal. Live vocals, original & unreleased music, world instruments and percussion are staples in her carefully curated and self produced sets.
As elevated and ethereal as her sets are, she leans into heavy trap style drumlines, dub, world flavors and emotive orchestral chords. Rather than highly synthesized elements, she prefers the rawness of field recordings and acoustic instruments such as the berimbau, sitar and oud, to come together with soul massaging bass that create fertile soil for the booty to bloom.
Weaving a tapestry of lush, earthen soundscapes, her intent is to create the conditions for magic to manifest, for dancers to ground into their body and Earth, and connect with each other from an embodied place of heart coherence.
