Main Off-Broadway Play Reading: Children of the Moon

The Main Off-Broadway Play Reading Series returns for a second season, touring to several different branches! This series brings to life classic plays that have recently entered the public domain. Each reading showcases a different work read aloud by talented local actors. Children of the Moon, by Martin FlavinAccording to the New York Times review in 1923, "the play and players received an ovation such as has seldom been witnessed on Broadway." Set in a fog-shrouded coastal home, a mother’s desperate attempts to control her daughter’s future bring shadows of the family's dark legacy to the surface. Can new-found love weather the storm?
