Details:
“I want a temple of spirit, a monument!” In 1943, the Guggenheim’s first director, Hilla Rebay, called upon Frank Lloyd Wright to create a truly unique home for what would become the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Since the building’s completion in 1959, it has continued to inspire curiosity and wonder in the thousands of visitors it welcomes each day. We invite you to join us daily at 2 pm on the rotunda floor to discover why! During these 30-minute guided experiences, our museum educators will provide deep insight into the building, reveal some of its many distinctive quirks and details, and encourage you to explore the architecture in creative ways during your visit. Daily architecture talks are included with museum admission, and no advance registration is required.
