Details:
Join us for our Monthly Volunteer Training and Refresher at the Shoreline Tool Library, where you'll have the opportunity to learn new skills, connect with fellow volunteers, and explore various ways to get involved in the community. This event is open to everyone—whether you're an experienced volunteer, returning after a break, or new to volunteering. Training will cover essential topics such as checking in and out tools, assisting members, and answering questions, along with available volunteer opportunities like beautification, outreach, inventory management, tool repair, and steering committees.
Participants can enjoy perks including a free tool library membership for volunteering just one shift (or three hours) per month, access to our Ridwell bin, and a complimentary Seattle REconomy class for completing three shifts (or nine hours) in a month. To prepare for the training, please fill out our Volunteer Interest Form. This event alternates monthly between the NE Seattle Tool Library and the Shoreline Tool Library, ensuring that everyone gains foundational knowledge applicable at any location.
The venue is wheelchair accessible, with ADA-compliant restrooms and nearby transit options, including King County Metro bus services and bike access. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your RSVP. We encourage everyone to participate and welcome you to bring your own interpreters if needed. For more details, visit seattlereconomy.org/volunteer. We look forward to seeing you there!
