Details:
Join us for the Tool School for Women+: Build a Contemporary Side Table, a two-part beginner-friendly class designed to help you create a fully finished side table while fostering a supportive learning environment. This class is perfect for those new to building or looking to apply foundational skills, whether you've previously taken other Tool School classes or have equivalent experience.
Throughout the course, you will learn essential techniques such as joinery, panel glue-up, and woodworking layouts, all at your own pace with ample time for questions and individualized support. By the conclusion of the class, you will leave with not only a completed side table but also increased confidence in your building abilities.
What to Bring: Participants should come equipped with safety glasses, hearing protection, and an N95 dust mask. While various stains and finishes will be available, bringing your preferred stain or paint is encouraged. If you have a jigsaw, palm sander, or orbital sander, feel free to bring them along.
Please ensure you can attend both session dates:
- Part One: Saturday, June 27th, 3–7 PM
- Part Two: Sunday, June 28th, 10 AM–12 PM
Classes are led by Lynette Wacholz, an experienced instructor with a passion for tools and teaching. Our sliding scale pricing makes this class accessible, and we encourage anyone facing financial barriers to reach out for assistance.
The venue is wheelchair accessible, with available parking and transit options. Children may attend with their parent or guardian upon prior arrangement. The Women+ classes embrace a diverse range of participants, welcoming those who identify as women, transgender men, and nonbinary individuals in a space focused on shared experiences and growth.
