Details:
Join us for the Basic Bicycle Maintenance workshop at the Shoreline Tool Library, where you’ll work with Bike Shack volunteer Russ Steele, a seasoned expert with over 60 years of experience. Bring your own bike and gain hands-on experience in tuning it up, addressing gear, brake, and bearing adjustments, wheel truing, and bike fit. You'll also learn to identify and resolve common bike noises, enhancing your riding experience and prolonging your bike's life.
Our sliding scale for class fees aims to make participation accessible to all, while still supporting Seattle REconomy, which operates the tool libraries. If cost is a concern, feel free to reach out to us for options. Children may attend with a parent or guardian on a case-by-case basis; please contact us with details.
The venue is wheelchair accessible, equipped with an all-gender ADA-compliant restroom, and supports transportation options via King County Metro and nearby bike routes. There is also parking available for cars. For any accessibility requests or to bring interpreters, please let us know in advance. Join us to enhance your bike maintenance skills and enjoy a better ride!
