**3D Printer Orientation: The Basics @ STL**
Join us for a comprehensive class designed to teach you how to operate our in-house Prusa MK3S+ 3D printers. This orientation is essential for any member of the NE Seattle Tool Library or Shoreline Tool Library looking to access our 3D printers. No prior knowledge is required. You will learn to find, prepare, and print 3D models, including where to source models online and how to slice files using Prusa Slicer. While bringing your own laptop is encouraged, it is not mandatory.
Please note that this class will focus solely on operating the printer and will not cover 3D modeling; for that, consider our CAD for 3D Printing class, which does not overlap with this orientation. Both classes can be taken in any order.
Accessibility is a priority, with wheelchair access and ADA-compliant restrooms available. Although non-English and ASL interpreters are not provided, attendees may bring their own.
Getting to the venue is convenient via the King County Metro bus Rapid Ride E Line, and bike racks are available. There is also on-site parking with an ADA van accessible space.
Our sliding scale pricing aims to make participation more accessible, and we welcome inquiries regarding financial assistance. Children may attend with a parent or guardian, subject to prior approval.
